Mahindra will soon launch a special edition on the XUV500. While spyshots have already revealed the Mahindra XUV500 Sportz, the brochure of the car is now available.
On the outside, the XUV500 Sportz gets red decals on the hood and the sides. Further traces of the red color can be found on the roof rails, foglights, door handles and alloy wheels as well. Inside, the car retains the same layout, while feature wise, the XUV500 Sportz gets a much needed reverse camera as well as an arm rest and special leather seats.
The XUV500 Sportz is based on the top-end W8 trim and as a result, comes with features such as projector headlights, 6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, DVD player, tyre pressure monitoring system, automatic headlights and wipers, driver and passenger airbags along with side curtain airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, Hill Hold and Hill Descent, automatic AC and cruise control.
The mechanicals of the SUV remain unchanged as power continues to come from a 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine producing 140 bhp and 330 Nm of torque, matched to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The XUV500 Sportz is expected to be priced at a premium of INR 50,000 compared to the W8 model.
