The Mahindra Scorpio facelift is expected to be launched in the festive season.

The Scorpio facelift will get a new front fascia as evident from the spot of the heavy camouflage. The headlights, grille, bumper and bonnet scoop would undergo heavy revision. The side of the car will remain intact save for the new alloy wheel design while the rear will undergo minor changes like receiving new LED taillights.

The interior is where the majority of improvements can be seen. The dashboard design has been revamped with new instrument cluster and steering wheel which is borrowed from the XUV500.

The new Scorpio is expected to retain its 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that is capable of 120 hp and 290 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox would do the transmission duty.

Even though Mahindra haven't upgraded the Scorpio since early 2009, the SUV managed an impressive monthly average of 4,523 units in the first five months of this year, outselling the Renault Duster every time. The facelift would launch with a lot expected out of it.
