The production version of the Ford Figo Sedan will be called as the Ka+ in Brazil. The first images of the compact sedan, which is expected to go on sale in Brazil in August, has started circulating on the internet. It's to be noted that the production version of Ka hatchback (next gen Ford Figo) was revealed yesterday.

Even though the Ford Figo Sedan made its global premiere in India, a day ahead of the Auto Expo, we have to wait longer than the Brazilians for the production version. The Indian version will be a bit shorter (under 4m long) and fire diesel, but otherwise there appear to be no real differences. The ageing Fiesta Classic (or Ford Classic) could be replaced by this vehicle for Ford to be able to seriously challenge the Maruti Dzire and Honda Amaze.

The Ford Ka+ sedan is basically a mildly watered down version of the concept. While the Ka hatchback makes do with a black honeycomb mesh for the front grill, the sedan gets upmarket chrome slats as seen on the concept. Not surprisingly futuristic headlamp detailing of the concept is replaced by a conventional light cluster.

The dashboard design gets its inspiration from the Fiesta, especially the centre console. The instrument console looks plain and you get a multi-function steering wheel with controls for Bluetooth and audio player. We can safely assume that the Ka hatchback will share the same interior design for the benefit of scale.

Just like its hatchback sibling, the Ka+ would get a 1.0-litre three cylinder flex-fuel engine which produces 85 hp and 105 Nm of torque while running on ethanol. A 5-speed manual gearbox will take car of transmission duties. Brazilian media reports suggest that the sedan will additionally list a 1.5-litre flex-fuel motor that is found in the new Fiesta hatchback. On Ethanol, this motor develops 110 hp and 147 Nm of torque.
