The Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS could hit the showrooms anytime from now and the fully faired sportsbike continues testing across the country. Bykez.com's reader Mohit Agarwal has caught a Pulsar 200 SS test mule near Rohtang, Himachal Pradesh.

As seen in the spyshots, the Pulsar 200 SS shares its design with the Pulsar SS 400 that was unveiled at the Auto Expo. The twin projector headlamps with eye brow like LED daytime running lights, new tailpiece and stubby silencer (the 200 NS has an underbelly exhaust) are the design highlights of motorcycle.

The Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS would adopt a fuel-injected 200 cc triple spark engine.

Bodywork aside, the 200 SS is based on the 200 NS with a carburetor feeding the liquid-cooled 200 cc motor. If the 200 SS switches to fuel injection, going by the unchanged tech specs of the fuel injected Pulsar 200 NS that is available in Turkey, it will produce 23.52 PS and 18.3 Nm of torque. Regardless of the fuel system, the engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission.

A undisguised Pulsar 200 SS was spotted in a dealer yard last month sparking speculations about an immediate launch. However the motorcycle continues its testing exercise.

The Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS is expected to be launched in the festive season and would be pitted against the new Hero Karizma.
