Ford has began teasing the Ford Ka hatchback in Brazil. The company has launched a website which seeks basic information from customers who are interested in owning the hatchback.

The Ford Ka hatchback is likely to be launched within the next few months as Ford has already begun teasing it in Brazil.

The Ka hatchback was recently spotted testing with minimal camouflage in the South American country. The car, Ford has already announced, will be launched in 2014.

New Ford Ka Concept
The hatchback was shown as a concept last November.

The concept, codenamed B562, was unveiled in Brazil for the global markets in November 2013. The concept is the second production model designed by Ford Brazil, after the wildly successful Ford EcoSport. The hatchback is aimed at the emerging markets, and is expected to either replace the Ford Figo in India or be positioned a segment above.

In India, it is likely that it will be manufactured at Ford's upcoming manufacturing facility in Sanand, alongside the Figo sedan, that will begin serial production in late 2014 or early 2015.

The sedan, which is a while away from its launch, in Brazil is longer than the version that was shown in India at the Auto Expo 2014.

The car is likely to get a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder 12-valve engine and a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder 16-valve engine, both with flex fuel capability, in Brazil, although nothing yet has been confirmed by Ford.

The Ford Ka platform also houses a sedan, which was showcased in India at the Auto Expo 2014, that is currently undergoing testing in Brazil. In Brazil, however, the same sedan is a bit longer as in India Ford has made it duck under the 4 meter mark.
