Volvo has revealed the third car in the series of its design concepts - the Concept Estate - at the Geneva Motor Show. The design for the first time showcases Volvo's vision for how its future cars' interiors would look.

To detail its exterior, up front, a floating grille is flanked by distinctive headlamps with T-shaped LED daytime running lights. The concept features a glass roof, softly curved surfaces and 21-inch five-spoke alloys. The styling stays true to previous Volvo concepts with tailgate-mounted spoiler, signature lighting element and twin exhaust system at the rear.

Not surprisingly, the traditional buttons and knobs have been replaced completely by a single huge touchscreen. Few crucial controls, says Volvo, like the volume, play/pause, hazard warning and window heaters still get buttons.

The screen is laid out in an intuitive way, says Volvo, adding that everything is exactly where you'd expect them to be.

The inside continues with a low bonnet and sleek silhouette. The inspiration for the two-spoke steering wheel comes from Volvo's older models.

All four seats in the Concept Estate get orange seat belts. Handcrafted details like the instrument panel that is covered by naturally tanned, saddle leather and inlays made of waxed, naturally aged wood and machined copper details emphasize the exclusive 'Swedish-ness' of the car, says the company.
