The Vision XS-1 is a creative study model from Honda that is a crossover utility concept. It features Honda’s philosophy of ‘Man Maximum Machine Minimum.’ Essentially, the Vision XS-1 fuses two different body styles, that of a crossover and a passenger carrier and the concept has been laid out as a proposal for a next-generation vehicle that features 3 seat rows to ferry 7 passengers.
The concept showcased at the expo features the company’s new “Exciting H Design.” The new Honda Jazz was the first recipient of this design language and it would be launched in India in the next fiscal.
The concept gets two fully sliding doors for the rear passengers. The two rows at the rear are accessible via these large doors with a single mirror.
On the inside the concept gets two rows of seats that fall fully flat, a whole new centre console with an information display screen and very few buttons. There’s a new instrument cluster that gets a big circular display in the centre, flanked by two smaller circular displays. A push-button start is also featured.
A number of aero enhancements were visible both at the front and the rear, hinting that this car might be more sporty than a regular crossover, if the production design is not heavily diluted.
