Mercedes-Benz is working on a facelift for its M Class SUV and CLS Class coupe and shooting brake. Camouflaged prototypes of both these cars were caught testing in Europe by Auto Plus reader, Olivier.

The 2015 M Class facelift is expected to sport an updated front end.

Based on the camouflage, the front fascia of both these cars will be updated with a tweaked grille, a new bumper and redesigned headlights. The side profiles of these cars should remain intact and we expect only the alloy wheels to change.

Inside, both these cars could benefit from Mercedes's new COMAND infotainment system and the fingertip-controlled central system (seen on the new C Class).

Mechanically, Mercedes engineers could use their new 9-speed automatic transmission (which premiered on the E Class at the Frankfurt Motor Show) on these cars.

We expect the refreshed M and CLS Class to launch by the end of this year. A recent report indicates that both these models will be ready for an October launch.

The CLS facelift will most likely be launched in October this year.

Both, the M and CLS Class, are available in India (though the CLS is available as a coupe only). While the M Class is assembled at Mercedes India's Chakan facility, the CLS Class is brought into the country via the CBU (Completely Built up Unit) route.
