Our sources have confirmed that Nissan India will debut the Sunny facelift at the Auto Expo next month. Since its introduction at the 2010 Guangzhou Motor Show, the Sunny has not received any exterior or interior updates, and the car coming to the Auto Expo, is likely to be the global facelift model.

Our render artist, Shoeb, has projected the Sunny facelift based on leaked images posted by a Chinese website last year. As this render shows, the front fascia of the Sunny gets a thorough redesign with a set of newly designed headlights. The grille has grown in size and now resembles high-end Nissan models such as the Teana.

At the rear, changes are reserved to a tweaked bumper and a chrome applique for the registration plate enclosure, while the side profile could see the addition of a new alloy wheel design.

The piano-black center console seen here on the Micra facelift could make its way to the Sunny facelift as well.

Since the Sunny shares its dashboard with the Micra (the Sunny is based on the same V-Platform as the Micra as well), we expect Nissan to include the new piano black center console, a new music system with Bluetooth streaming, and revised fabrics for the seats and door trims. These updates were carried out on the 2013 Micra facelift last year.

On the mechanical front, the Sunny will continue to use the 1.5-liter K9K diesel engine and the 1.5-liter petrol engine. The petrol motor is available with a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.

Stay tuned for further updates on the Sunny facelift.
