Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has announced its plans for the Auto Expo 2014. The two-wheeler manufacturer will have a theme of "Technology meets Emotion".
The company will reveal a new design concept model, which would, the company says, "Be a sure draw for tech lovers". Honda will also unveil a new scooter at the Auto Expo 2014.
We believe this scooter could be a 125 cc model as Honda is presently dominating the 100/110 cc segment, with the Activa and the Dio, and would want to be present in the higher segment as well.
As for global models, there will be the legendary Goldwing in its updated avatar, the CBR 500R and the PCX 125 scooter. The CBR 500R incidentally, is a great fit for the Indian market. It gets a parallel twin-cylinder 471 cc engine that makes 47 hp and 50 Nm of torque. Given a recent deal between TVS and BMW Motorrad to make bikes between 250 cc and 500 cc in India, Honda's CBR 500R could become an early mover.
For motorsports enthusiasts, Honda will display the triple championship winning RC213V that Marc Marquez rode to clinch the 2013 Moto GP title.
