Ahead of the all-new 2014 Honda City's launch on January 7, a few pages of its brochure are now available, thanks to Car Sizzler. Its also to be noted that in anticipation of the car's launch, Honda has released a short TV commercial highlighting the engines of the new City, while print advertisements announcing the new City as India's most fuel efficient diesel car are also being seen on newspapers.

The new City diesel delivers an ARAI rated 26 km/l.

As this brochure exclaims, the new City diesel delivers an ARAI-claimed 26 km/l. Powering the car is the same 1.5-liter four-cylinder i-DTEC engine one would find in the Amaze. The power and torque figures of 100 PS and 200 Nm are also the same as the Amaze, however, the gearbox in the City gets an additional cog and is a 6-speed unit.

The City petrol will be available with a manual and a CVT gearbox.

While the new City petrol will continue to use the 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine as its predecessor, engineers have fine-tuned this motor. The new City petrol, as a result, produces 119 PS and 145 Nm of torque (1 PS and 1 Nm more than its predecessor), and will be available with a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT gearbox.
