BMW India confirmed today that the BMW Z4 refresh is coming to India on the 14th of November. The mildly redesigned Z4 was unveiled at the start of the year at the North American International Auto Show (Detroit). BMW sells a very small number of Z4s in India as demand for a two-seat convertible here is not comparable to the US or the UK.

The Z4 facelift debuted at the Detroit Motor Show this year sporting LED headlights.

Changes to the exterior of the 2014 BMW Z4 are limited to new LED headlamps, side indicators and body colors. The interior is delicately refreshed, with the air vents finished in a glossy black shade. The interior can also be ordered in a contrasting black and orange trim, with 'Fineline Anthracite wood finish' for the dashboard. The final change pops out of the boot when the roof, finished in black, is activated.

The electronics are revisited, with the ConnectedDrive system receiving High Beam Assistant and Park Distance Control functions. The system's iPhone connectivity has also been updated.

BMW introduced a new 154 hp 2-liter petrol engine, but this variant, though priced lower, cannot improve volumes in India, as the Z4 as a convertible, has limited market reach. We expect the 300 hp 3-liter six-cylinder motor to be carried over into the facelift.
