A key change in the model is the introduction of micro-hybrid technology to the Pik-Up range. Ignore what the name suggests, micro-hybrid is just a start-stop system fitted to the proven MDI 3200 Turbocharged engine. It displaces 2.5-liters and puts out 63 bhp @ 3,200 RPM and 195 Nm @ 1,500-1,800 RPM, enabling it to deliver a fuel efficiency of 13.86 km per litre. The company offers 3 years/unlimited kilometer warranty on the engine and driveline.

The company sold around 70,000 pick-up models last year and has a target of 1,02,000 units for this financial year.

Mahindra is expecting the LCV market to grow at 17% while the company itself is growing at a healthy 19%. On the basis of a burgeoning rural economy and strong monsoon, the company is expecting to achieve its target.
