Indonesia - Honda Mobilio customer preview conducted at Java

The Honda Mobilio was world premiered at the Indonesia International Motor Show last month and production will commence early next year at Honda's new manufacturing facility in West Java. PT Honda Prospect Motor, the Indonesian subsidiary of Honda, has already started conducting customer previews for the Mobilio and here are images from an event in Java.

Seen here is a white Mobilio in the top-end 'E' trim that was shown to the prospective customers. At the time of the launch, the Mobilio will be available in three trim levels - S, E and E CVT. While the S and the E trim get a 5-speed manual gearbox, the E CVT as its name suggests gets an automatic gearbox.

The Mobilio measures 4.4m in length, 1.68m in width, 1.61m in height and has a wheelbase measuring 2.65m. Inside, the Mobilio's dashboard and many components including the steering wheel, power window buttons and the center console have been carried over from the Brio, on which it is based.

For India, we can be certain that the Mobilio will be offered with the 1.5-liter EarthDreams diesel engine.

The Mobilio is powered by the same 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine that is used on the Honda City. Just like the City, the Mobilio outputs 118 PS and 144 Nm of torque.

The prospective customers were also briefed about the Mobilio's price which ranges from 150 to 180 million Indonesian Rupiah (INR 8.41 lakhs to INR 10.09 lakhs).

The Mobilio is expected to launch in India next year and it is official that the 1.5-liter EarthDreams diesel engine would also be offered here.
