Announced in May this year, you will have a difficult job differentiating a 5 Series facelift from the current model. The exterior changes come in the form of additional contour lines surrounding the kidney grille, newly structured air intakes and an added helping of chrome surrounding the foglights.

Changes to the rear are even more minimalist. You get an extra crease on the rear apron which BMW say "highlights the width of the car", slimmer taillights and a chrome strip on the rear bumper. Internationally, the refreshed 5 Series hit the market with a couple of more color options and alloy wheel designs. Whether BMW India would introduce them remains to be seen.

Inside, further traces of chrome can be found on the iDrive display borders. BMW also inform us that the cup holders and storage compartments have increased capacities.

On the features front, Xenon headlights have been made standard across the range while adaptive LED headlights have been introduced as an optional extra. The foglights feature LED technology and the wing mirrors come with integrated turn signals.

The 5 Series facelift should continue with its existing lineup of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines and a six-cylinder diesel engine. Stay tuned for the price announcement!
