The front fascia of the new Megane is in line with the carmaker's latest brand identity, sporting a narrow grill that widens up in the center to house a prominent Renault Lozenge. The bumper houses both daytime LEDs and foglamps. Little has changed on the inside, except for the introduction of the Renault R-Link multimedia infotainment system.

The new Megane along with many other refreshed cars that are on display at the show were penned by Renault's design boss Laurens van den Acker. The facelift has been applied to all the variants of the Megane (hatchback, coupe, estate and RS). The profile and rear of the car stay intact.

Under the hood, the facelifted Megane gets a 1.2-litre 128bhp TCe turbocharged petrol engine which is mated to a EDC (dual clutch) automatic gearbox.

The 2014 Megane goes on sale in Europe from the first quarter of 2014. Other markets are expected to receive the car in a phased manner.
