The Made-In-India Toyota Etios is likely to be exported to another market. We notice that Toyota Nepal has started accepting bookings for the Etios sedan ahead of its launch, confirmed in the month of August.

Toyota Etios Nepal bookings commence
Toyota Nepal has opened bookings for the Etios.

We can definitely assume that the Etios for Nepal would head from Toyota Kirloskar's plant in Bidadi, Karnataka. The plant already makes the Etios for markets such as South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mauritius.

The updated Etios launched in India five months ago with a raft of minor changes.

From the advertisement, it seems that only the sedan version would be launched, at least initially.

The Etios petrol's specifications are unchanged for the Nepali market. It would continue using the same 1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine which produces 90PS and 13.46kgm of torque. The sedan gets a 5-speed manual transmission and an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 16.78km/l. Features such as 15-inch alloy wheels, dual airbags and a very functional music system get the nod for Nepal.

Toyota Etios Nepal launch
This letter was posted on the Toyota Nepal Facebook page confirming the car's launch and specs.

Exactly 5 months ago, Toyota updated the Etios and it saw improvements to the headlights, grille, taillights, the instrument cluster, music system, sound insulation, and the front seats which now get height adjustable headrests.

The Etios would compete with the Honda Amaze, which was also recently launched in Nepal (and is exported from India). The Amaze in Nepal has a starting price of 2.55 million Nepali Rupee. Expect the Etios to be priced a touch higher.
