The next generation Ford Ka/Figo (code - B562) is clocking some useful test miles in Brazil and that means we get a regular supply of spyshots.

The next gen Figo will also spawn a sedan that will replace the aging Fiesta Classic in India.

Autossegredos.com.br's reader Anderson Lima has managed to click the upcoming B-Segment hatchback from close quarters. While the busy camouflage protects the subtleties of the design from our senses, we get a general idea of the car's shape which takes inspiration neither from the Ka nor from the Figo.

The dimensions of the hatchback are on the same page as its Brazilian rivals VW Gol, Fiat Uno and Chevrolet Onix. The One Ford global product will sit below the Fiesta around the world with emphasis on emerging markets. In India, the car will succeed the Figo.

A sedan is planned on the same platform to answer the likes of the Chevy Prisma, Hyundai HB20S, Fiat Siena and the Toyota Etios in Brazil. In India, the three-box would replace the Fiesta Classic, thereby competing with the Honda Amaze and the Maruti Dzire.

The Brazil spec car is expected with 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre flex fuel engines while the India spec car would have petrol and diesel powertrains that are under 1.5-liters in displacement. At least one EcoBoost petrol engine is expected on the lineup.

We expect the hatchback to make its Brazilian debut next year and follow into India in 2015.
