BMW 1 Series GT and BMW 2 Series Coupe
The BMW 1 Series GT and the 2 Series Coupe are expected to be unveiled sometime in 2014.

The 1 Series GT is the production version of the BMW Concept Active Tourer. The car is based on BMW's UKL modular front wheel drive platform that will underpin the entire range of next gen MINIs and entry level Bimmers. It is expected to spawn a seven seat MPV which has already started testing.

Powering the 1 Series GT will be a new family of downsized 1.5 litre three cylinder petrol and diesel engines. The powerplants would use turbochargers (BMW TwinPower) to compensate the lack of displacement.

Autohome.com.cn reports that the 1 Series GT will be showcased in China at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show in April. Hence, the world premiere could happen sometime in early 2014.

The BMW 2 Series Coupe is the successor for the 1 Series Coupe and it also forms the base for the 2 Series convertible. The car will be a rear wheel drive model with possible engine options being a 1.6 litre turbo, a 2.0 litre turbo and a new 3.0 litre turbo (all are petrol engines). The 3.0 litre motor will be propelling the range topping M2.

The 2 Series is also expected to be unveiled in early 2014.
