It was earlier reported that the 2013 Range Rover would spawn a long wheelbase version for markets such as China, which simply adore extended wheelbase versions of already large cars. Back then, we treated it as a speculation and as a result Shoeb, our designer came up with a speculative rendering of the EWB Range Rover.

Now though, the actual car has been spied testing. These pictures were clicked by Autocar UK reader Ian Bushell, on a British motorway. The spyshot is bang on accurate with Shoeb's render and its not hard to see why.

The 2013 Range Rover as it is, boasts of an increased 118mm in its wheelbase over its predecessor. The stretched version is rumored to add a further 150mm.

All of this additional length should go to the rear. And as you can see from these images, the rear doors of the EWB Range Rover are quite massive. Even the rear overhang boasts of an increased length and this could mean that the rear seats are pushed back even further, generating a limousine like ambiance in the cabin.

Power for the Limo Rover is expected to come from the existing V8 engines. For China especially, the EWB Range Rover should go on sale with the 5.0-liter supercharged V8.

This is Shoeb's rendering of the Range Rover LWB. He took all of 3 minutes to make it. The real life version's development may take a bit longer than that.

Would Land Rover consider showing the Range Rover EWB at the upcoming Chengdu or Guangzhou motor shows?
