Nissan released a sketch of the Terrano two days ago reconfirming that it will reach dealerships this financial year. Wasting no time, the company has launched an online campaign to promote the new car.

A website has been opened with a pixelated image of the Nissan Terrano on the main page. With each tweet, a blurry pixel is softened forming a small part of the car. Nissan has received about 4,800 tweets already and #Terrano is currently trending on Twitter.

Sources tell IndianAutosBlog.com that its launch would be around the festival season. Nissan India's ex-CEO had also subscribed to this idea. When asked about the launch of the mini SUV (when the product sheet was revealed to the media in February), he said "Diwali is one of the good seasons, we should be in time for that."

Nissan's version of the Duster would have the same 1.5-liter K9K engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Lower spec variants could get a detuned engine with a 5-speed gearbox. Nissan's X-Tronic CVT technology and all-wheel drive technology are available in the Chennai plant if the market calls for them.

Shoeb's render here reveals the external changes. Nissan may give the car new door skins, while completely revising the front and rear fascias. The interiors would have less differences, perhaps the center console would feature a different audio system and the color of the seats and door trims would be darker.
