The Jet 2+2 was built for one of Bertone's deep pocketed customers but it seems that the stylish station wagon could enter a limited production run. Autocar.co.uk reports that both Aston Martin and Bertone are interested in making the super estate but there could be a conflict of interest when it comes to naming the car.

It seems Aston Martin wants to call it as the Rapide Shooting Brake whereas Bertone would like use its traditional 'Jet' nameplate. Nevertheless, there are very good chances that the car could become a reality.

If at all the estate gets the green signal for production, it remains to be seen how many units will be made. Autocar.co.uk says that if the number is less than 10, it would be made at Bertone's facility in Italy and if its more than that, Aston Martin's Gaydon plant will become its production center.

Not many estates could attend a beauty contest but the Bertone Jet 2+2 a.k.a. the Aston Martin Rapide Shooting Brake is not your normal estate. Like you, we'd love to see the car enter get produced.
