I’m a true-blooded petrolhead. Hope you enjoy our news stories, launch coverages, motorshow coverages and test drive reports.
The Land Rover Defender is an icon in its own right. Made to go through anything that is otherwise impossible, the Defender has a huge fan following all over the world and despite decades spent on the market virtually untouched, it continues to see new customers.
It seems that Land Rover will make a special, limited edition version of the Defender called the Defender Secret Edition, for exclusive sale in the Russian market. The special edition Defender takes inspiration from the James Bond movie, Skyfall, and will reach the Russian showrooms by end of May 2013.
Only 50 units of the Defender Secret Edition will be available and all of them are being allocated only for the Russian market.
The Defender Secret Edition will be launched only in the 5-seat variant in the 110SW trim.
On the outside, the Defender Secret Edition has a new color called Orkney Grey. It also gets a roof mounted Expedition carrier.
On the inside, the Defender Secret Edition comes with premium seats with leather inserts along with Land Rover logos on the headrests. The steering wheel is wrapped in leather and you also get a CD-player with MP3/AUX and Bluetooth. Front power windows along with heated seats and central locking complete the package.
The Defender Secret Edition will set you back by 1,698,000 rubles which is about INR 29.89 lakhs.
We’re waiting for Land Rover to upload an image gallery of the special edition.
