However, Honda has even bigger plans for the Amaze. The Himalayan Times reports that the Made-In-India Honda Amaze would be launched in the Nepali market by June this year.

Honda has confirmed the launch as well. Though it is to be noted that Honda would launch only the petrol variant in the first phase. It is not yet known whether both, the manual and automatic transmissions are being introduced however. The petrol Amaze with the 1.2-liter i-VTEC engine is expected to carry a starting price of about 2.6 million NPR (about 16.33 lakhs) when it goes on sale next month.

Right now, the Honda lineup in Nepal includes the Jazz, City, Civic, Accord and the CR-V.

Lomas Manandhar, divisional manager at Honda Car Showroom, Dhobighat –

“We’re very excited about the launch of this compact sedan in the Nepali market as it has already garnered a huge success in India and also as we have been receiving constant enquires regarding this car. This car is well-received for its better performance and stylish looks.”
