The Ford EcoSport has been in the spotlight for the past few months and we at Indian Autos Blog were obsessively covering every single move of the compact crossover SUV. We went to Geneva to get you a video walkaround, got you our reader's perspective of the India-spec car from a mall activation, and also checked out the car in Shanghai two weeks ago.

We have brought you innumerable spyshots of the car, almost on a daily basis (sometimes more than once a day)! Ford India has been taking the car to various cities for a public display in shopping malls. The EcoSport Urban Discoveries contest, a part of the pre-launch campaign is also rolling simultaneously.

Meanwhile, one of our ardent readers, Mr. Aniket has sent in a set of spyshots of a fleet of cars that were parked in a yard in Goa. Interestingly the cars doesn't have any tell tale signs of being a test mule (no 'On Test' stickers anywhere on the car).

This could mean that Ford has finally decided to move ahead with the launch of the EcoSport. The fleet in Goa could be lined up for an impending media drive which Indian Autos Blog has also been invited to this month.

The highlight of the compact SUV would be the award winning 1.0-litre EcoBoost turbocharged petrol motor. Even though the 1.5 litre diesel would be spearheading sales, the EcoBoost engine could have enough takers, if petrol prices reduce progressively. And then you have the 1.5 litre petrol as well, mated to the Powershift dual clutch automatic transmission.
