GM India's latest B-segment offering Chevrolet Sail U-VA is registering dismal sales figures as it falls short of impressing the customers seeking small hatchbacks. General Motors chopped down its price by Rs. 25,000 last month to make it more viable but it didn't help them flourish in sales all the same.

The sales was on an upshift in March but it was too much left off from the leading pack driven by the all-time favorite Maruti Suzuki Swift. Moving on to the second weapon in GM's armory, the Sail sedan is marching steadily and doing pretty well, in the market much to the relief of the company, with 8,000 bookings in the bag.

Next up for General Motors is the Chevrolet Enjoy MPV. GM India is stacking up high hopes on the compact MPV as it's readying up to get launched by next month. Meanwhile, hovering over to the northern skies, we found that Chevrolet Enjoy's Chinese cousin, the Wuling Hongguang, is continuing to be a sales superstar.

The Light Commercial Vehicle celebrates its third consecutive month topping the sales charts (in LCV category) with a whopping 50,032 units sold in the period of March! While the monthly numbers for the Chevrolet Enjoy would not be anywhere near its Chinese counterpart, an aggressive pricing could make is a decent success in India.
