Toyota Etios Facelift sideIndonesia has just received the Toyota Etios Valco hatchback (called as the Liva in India) but Toyota Astra Motor, the Indonesian subsidiary of Toyota has still not yet decided on introducing the Etios sedan.

Speaking to the Indonesian media on the sidelines of the Valco media drive, Mr. Joko Trisanyoto, marketing director of PT Toyota Astra Motor has reportedly stated that the Etios sedan has not been considered for the Indonesian market so far.

However, he didn't rule out the possibility of the sedan coming in later.

Toyota wants to discourage the Etios sedan from becoming a preferred taxi vehicle because that would significantly reduce the interest in the car that the private buyers have. The company feels that there is no harm in launching the sedan in Indonesia if the Etios Valco manages to evoke good response among the buyers. However, the company has not decided on a specific time period.

Toyota added visual zing to the Valco by endowing it with edgy bumpers and revised stoplights.

Back home, TKM has just launched the mildly facelifted versions of the Etios and the Etios Liva which come with significant improvements to the interior.
