The Suzuki Swift Sport is the car that we never got in India, but one for which we’ve a huge fan following nevertheless.

Powered by a 1.6-liter petrol engine, the Swift Sport belts out 136 PS of power and 160Nm of torque, making it worthy of the ‘Sport’ moniker and including it in the hot-hatch category as well.

This ensures that the Swift Sport takes a scant 8.7 seconds to do the 0-100km/h dash and a top speed of 192km/h is also claimed.

Anol Alias, a Paultan reader has managed to snap these two Swift Sport’s in JPJ Putrajaya, Malaysia. This confirms that Suzuki in Malaysia are expected to launch the Swift Sport very soon.

Suzuki Malaysia is expected to launch the Swift Sport with both the transmission types as well. The 6-speed manual and the CVT automatic with 7-step manual mode are the transmission choices for the car.

The Swift Sport in yellow happens to be the automatic while the red Swift Sport is the manual version.

Visually, the Swift Sport gets a special body kit with fenders, side skirts and a rear spoiler. HID headlamps with black surrounds are unique to the Sport variant. It is also to be noted that the alloy wheels are different on the Malaysian spec version.

In terms of safety, the Swift Sport comes with seven airbags and ESP.
