McLaren P1 Sergio PerezMcLaren has announced that Ron Dennis CBE, executive chairman of McLaren Automotive will unveil the McLaren P1 along with the firm's newly appointed F1 pilot Sergio Perez.

The super exclusive hypercar will adorn the stage at the Geneva Motor Show which starts on March 5. Just a few days back, the supercar maker had announced that only 375 examples of the car will be made.

The McLaren P1 is powered by a hybrid powertrain which has a combined power output of 903 bhp and a combined torque of 900 Nm. The P1 has what McLaren calls as Instant Power Assist System (IPAS) which supplies instant bursts of power from a lightweight electric motor.

The car has a sub-three second acceleration time from rest to a ton while 200 kmph is dispatched from a standstill within 7 seconds. The hybrid powertrain can do 20 km on pure electric mode at an average speed of 48 kmph.

The McLaren P1 is the firm's third road-going car after the iconic McLaren F1 and the MP4 12-C. The car will be fighting for fame with the Ferrari F150 which also breaks cover on the same day as the P1.

Come March 5 and petrolheads from all over the world would have a visual feast as three supercars, the P1, the F150 and a mysterious raging bull from Lamborghini, are set to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, within hours of each other!
