We expected to see the Skoda Superb facelift in attendance at the Geneva Motor Show but Skoda thought it is better to give all the attention to the Skoda Octavia Combi.

Until the car's unveiled, digital auto enthusiast artists will continue putting out renders such as these. Here is a rendering by Autoweb.cz of the Skoda Superb facelift. The rendering is close to the real car since the image incorporates changes that were noticed in the front bumper image leak months ago.

The obvious change would be the new family grill and the logo. The lower bumper of the saloon gets redesigned foglamps and a secondary air dam. The headlamps could have the smoked effect and is expected to include integrated LED daytime running lights, quite similar to the new Octavia.

Front fascia of the current Superb isn't as edgy or as sharp as the facelift.

The profile of the car stays intact while the big difference at the rear being the license plate enclosure elevated to the boot lid from the bumper. A redesigned stoplight cluster is also on the cards. The interior is expected to be largely the same except for revisions to the trim or color.

The current set of four cylinder TSI and TDI engines will continue their duty and there is speculation that the 3.6-litre V6 engine could be replaced by a 270 bhp turbocharged four-cylinder unit.

The Skoda Superb facelift is inching closer to its unveil which is likely to happen at a dedicated event organized by Skoda.
