The facelifted Captiva sports minor visual upgrades along with new gadgetry. The mesh in the front grill is slightly altered and the new bumper sits a little lower than usual. The fog lamps and its enclosures get a minor redesign.

The rear of the car gets reprofiled tail lamp elements. The rear bumper is also new and so are the double exhaust tips. The rear windshield is movable separately. And the SUV gets 18" alloy wheels.

The interior of the car remains largely intact with the only exception being the new instrument panel. New fabric and color options are on offer while the high-end variants can be specified with leather seats.

Other goodies include dual zone climate control, heated rear seats and ambient lighting. The top of the line variant also comes with keyless entry and start system.

The China spec Chevrolet Captiva is expected to continue using the 2.4-litre petrol engine but a new six-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission is likely to be the motor's mate.

The Captiva facelift for the Chinese market would be built by the Shanghai-GM joint venture and could be launched in China at the Shanghai Auto Show that starts on April 20.
