Exclusive Motors, the official importer of Bentley cars in India, launched the 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed yesterday. The GT Speed is the fastest four seat sports car in the world.
The new Continental GT Speed was unveiled at the Goodwood Festival Of Speed in June 2012. Based on the second generation Bentley Continental GT, the GTS is powered by a mean W12 engine which pumps out 616 bhp making it the most powerful two door car in the Bentley stable.
The twin turbocharged engine produces a monumental 800 Nm of torque and is coupled to a close ratio 8-speed automatic transmission which drives all the wheels. The GT Speed can do 0-100 kmph in about 4 seconds and can hit a top speed of 329 kmph!
The engine emits less than its predecessor and at the same time, it is 13% more fuel efficient.
The car distinguishes itself from the regular continental GT by having a lower ride height and gloss finished, blackened front grill and lower air intakes. The wheels measure 21" in diameter.
On the inside, the GTS, apart from boasting of an uber luxurious cabin, comes with a touchscreen infotainment system which is backed by an in-built 30GB hard drive. Most of the components of the car is hand-built with craftsmanship.
