Ford new small car tail lampFord Ka, a small car being sold in some parts of Europe and South America is living in its last generation. Ford has confirmed earlier that there won't be a next generation Ka, but there will be a new global small car.

Car And Driver Brazil has managed to get their hands on a computer generated image of the upcoming small car's tail lamp. The magazine claims that the front of the car is inspired by the current Ford Fusion.

The new car could be the "Value B" car that Ford China has been talking about. The new small car from Ford could be the next generation Figo and could take the Figo moniker to global markets. The Figo is right now restricted to India and select export markets.

Form the image, we can see that the design is fresh and aggressive as suggested by the sharp and angular tail lamp. A sedan based on this car is also expected to be under development. However, further details about the project are sketchy.

The small hatchback and sedan could be one of the eight new products that Ford India has promised us by mid decade. The cars could come in as replacement for the Ford Figo and the aging Ford Fiesta.

Car and Driver Brazil reports that the new small car will be ready by end of 2013.
