Zercon kitted Maruti Swift waves at Skoda Fabia Scout
Nithyanandh K, As a toddler, those wheeled machinery fascinated me even before I knew what they’re called as! So here I'm, petrolhead by birth, Mechanical engineer by qualification and automotive reporter by profession!
Maruti Swift has been modifiers’ delight right from the beginning and the current version is no less so.
Zercon Body Kits of Thailand had showcased a modified Swift called the Swift Z-1. The car has some interesting elements which render it a rugged look.
For starters, the front has a new bumper with prominent fog lamp housings and there is also a plastic cladding running underneath which doubles up as a scruff plate and a chin spoiler. The honey comb mesh in the grill has gotten slightly bigger and the license plate enclosure gets a silver touch. There is also a scoop on the bonnet.
On the side, the car gets black plastic cladding for the wheel arches, in fact the cladding borders the lower part of the body all around. There are also silver roof rails to add to the adventure quotient.
The rear of the Swift Z-1 sports a diffuser, roof mounted spoiler and twin chrome exhaust tips, out of which one could be there just for the looks of it. The rear bumper gets some beefing up.
The Swift Z-1’s modifications keep it at par with the Skoda Fabia Scout, a hatchback which wants to be an off roader. A similar Swift variant with splashes of off road elements could become popular.
Do you want Maruti to do such a variant of the Swift perhaps with a slightly raised suspension?
