Aston Martin fans in China can rejoice as the new Ford Fiesta with the styling corrections has been launched at the ongoing Guangzhou Auto Show.

The new Fiesta sedan sports the Aston Martinsque front grill which has now become the norm of all the new Fords. Apart from the front, the sedan also has undergone some minor reprofiling at the rear.

The Ford Fiesta sedan and hatchback are the most popular Ford cars in China after the Ford Focus and are built by Chang'an-Ford joint venture. The facelifted Fiesta twins are expected to gain more popularity in China, however Ford has not showcased the updated hatchback at Guangzhou.

Apart from the refreshed front fascia, the rear tail lamp design - which was probably the low point of previous sedan's design - is given a nip and tuck. The new tail lamps are larger and a lot more edgier compared to the old elliptical units.

The Ford Fiesta sedan will be powered by 1.3 litre and 1.5 litre normally aspirated petrol engines. The 1.0 litre EcoBoost will be added to the lineup by July 2013 once the JV engine plant gets ready for production.

The new Ford Fiesta sedan will go on sale in China this December at an estimated price range of 80,000 Yuan (around Rs. 7.12 Lakhs) to 120,000 Yuan (around Rs. 10.69 Lakhs).

Ford India is right now occupied in ensuring that the EcoSport is successfully launched and hence we have to wait for the restyled sedan to arrive at our shores.
