We have already seen Ford shipping the facelifted Figo to Nepal.

Plans to send it to Algeria are already underway, according to one overseas media report.

But South Africa and the Middle East, two of the bigger markets for the Figo, were still getting the old model from the Chennai plant.

Ford has recently announced the facelifted Figo for South African markets. It will be powered by a 1.4-liter Duratec petrol engine (83hp) and a 1.4-liter turbo Duratorq diesel (68hp) engine, both mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Customers can choose between two trim levels, Ambiente and Trend. In South Africa, the Figo will come with a 4-year/120 000km warranty and 5-year corrosion warranty.

The best fact of the launch is that Ford has not changed the prices of the Figo one bit despite offering new features and improving the package.

The Figo hosts over 100 changes, with revised styling, improved pickup, reworked driver seat and new body color options. It is manufactured at the Chennai plant and exported to 35 overseas markets of which Mexico and South Africa are volume markets.
