Just after three days of bringing you the first image of the Honda Brio sedan, we bring you the spyshot of the sedan testing in Thailand.
One can see very few details from the test mule caught over here. The image is only of the rear of the car and the mule is heavily camouflaged.
However, we have considerable information on the Honda Brio sedan already available. Codenamed the Honda 2TP, the sedan is expected to hit the stands in March 2013. Honda calls the Brio sedan as the “sedan of your dreams”
It will be the first product from Honda to get the all new small diesel engine developed exclusively for India. The diesel engine is expected to carry the DNA of the 1.8 litre ‘Earth Dreams’ diesel engine sold in UK. However, it will only be a 1.5 L which means there is a good chance that it will be a ‘cylinder chopping’ exercise, something GM India did to the Fiat MultiJet to make the XDSE Smartech Diesel.
The Brio Sedan is essentially a stick-a-boot-to-the-hatch exercise which is extremely popular in India. It will go head to head with the Etios, Swift Dzire, Mahindra Verito, Tata Manza and Nissan Sunny.
