The information that it will be launching this October in three variants is exclusive to Indian Autos Blog readers and so are these spyshots of the SUV which was spotted near a dealership.

We are not able to verify whether cars have started shipping to dealers, but that day isn't far away.

The snout gets more boxy and rectangular than the outgoing model and it’s clear that the inspirations come from the Range Rover. Headlamp units are also more rectangular than before and house HID bulbs.

A prominent chrome strip connects the headlamps and the name ‘Storme’ is etched on it. The grill and the lower air dam get unique meshing with vertical rectangular elements.

On the rear, the car looks a little taller than its predecessor and the biggest change comes from the missing spare wheel which is no longer mounted on the tail gate. The rear also gets a chrome strip, running between the tail lamps.

The tail lamps had grown a little longer and sport a simple outdated profile and the rear bumper is new.

Inside, the completely new dashboard is finished in beige with splashes of faux wood. The cabin quality appears to have improved a lot and the overall cabin ambiance is uplifted. However there is no dead pedal in the foot well.

Do you think the Tata Safari Storme has got what it takes to be a worthy contender in the current SUV market?
