We brought you the news of the new Duster variant being launched in Brazil last week and today we are back with more pictures and details.

Named as the Renault Duster ‘TechRoad’, the SUV gets a boost in aspiration factor and targets young families with children who want good looks and status.

The Duster TechRoad comes with four exterior paint options namely white, green, silver and black.  Other visual additions are the black mask for the headlamps, adhesive rub strips on the doors with ‘TechRoad’ branding, all mounted on new 16” grey alloy wheels.

On the inside, the centre console houses a 7” touch screen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The touch screen supports ‘Media NAV’ which is a versatile system with GPS, Bluetooth, USB and aux-in connectivity. The variant also gets ‘TechRoad’ branded leathers upholstery as an option.

The additional features, if added as accessories, would cost around 1,600 Brazilian Reals (around INR 43,550), but Renault only asks for an extra 600 Reals (around Rs. 16,300), making it a nice deal.

The price for the Brazilian Renault Duster ranges from R$ 54,800 (Rs. 14.91 lakhs) for the 1.6 litre manual version to R$ 62,150 (Rs 16.91 lakhs) for the 2.0 litre automatic version.

The Renault Duster in India will have to face a stiff competition in the form of Ford EcoSport sooner than later and the French auto giant could make use of the ‘TechRoad’ version as a reaction to the forthcoming mini SUV launches from competitors.
