In a recent dealer meeting at Las Vegas, Toyota Motor Corporation had unveiled their new tagline ‘Let’s Go Places’.
The new tagline represents the vision of Mr. Akio Toyoda, the president of TMC and the grandson of the founder of Toyota.
The tagline will replace the existing ‘Moving Forward’, in all the future brand engaging events, starting from the US.
Bill Fay, the group vice president and general manager defines the new tagline as follows: “Let’s Go Places” speaks to the evolution of Toyota and our commitment to leading through innovation, enriching lives and connecting with customers in new ways they define. It is energetic, aspirational, inclusive and very versatile. The phrase conveys a dual meaning of physically going places and taking off on an adventure, while also expressing optimism and the promise of exciting innovation that enriches people’s lives. It allows our associates, customers, dealers, and suppliers to interpret it in ways that are most personally relevant to them.”
Toyota’s design chief, Dezi Nagaya is mulling for a bold new language to replace the current conservative approach. He wants the future Toyotas to be dynamic, masculine and sportier. Thus the change in the tagline also represents shift in the design philosophy.
The new found direction would help the Toyota cars to become not only appealing to minds, but also to hearts.
