Together, the Camry and Corolla make up 60.1% of all Toyotas sold globally. The biggest market for the Camry is the U.S., followed by the Middle East and countries such as Japan and Australia.

Unlike the two previous generations, the 7th generation Camry is assembled in India, at TKM's Bidadi plant, which becomes the 10th plant to manufacture it. The rupee depreciation and duty increase on CBU forced the company to take this route.

The Camry is powered by a new 2.5-liter petrol engine that produces 181PS @ 6,000rpm and 233Nm @ 4,100rpm, paired to a 6-speed Automatic gearbox (Sequential shift) with improved power and fuel economy compared to the outgoing 2.4L engine. Currently there are no plans to launch a diesel variant as the technology is not present anywhere in the world.
