The Chevrolet Beat has been on the market since a very long time now. Sure, GM India has raked in millions of rupees thanks to the cash cow Beat. But there are no major changes done to the design since 2009. There were some changes in the Beat ( a.k.a Spark in some markets) that is on sale in America. However, those design changes were restricted only to US specific model.

News comes in from Europe that a facelifted Chevy Beat will make its public debut at the Paris Motor Show. Key changes include:

Exterior Changes

  • A bigger dual-port grille
  • Restyled headlight covers
  • Re-designed fog lamps enclosures
  • Redesigned 14-inch and 15-inch alloy wheels
  • High-mounted LED stop lamp integrated into the rear spoiler

  • Remodeled center console
  • High quality plastics for the interiors

This is only a facelift so no changes have been made to the mechanicals. The Europe specific model is available in two S-TEC II engines - 1.0 litre with the 68 PS and 1.2 litre with 84 PS.

If you remember clearly, there was a facelifted Chevrolet Beat caught on Indian roads wearing thorough camouflage. This clearly hints that GM India is very much willing to launch the facelifted Beat in India. However, the key task for the marketing team would be to differentiate the facelifted Chevrolet Beat from the soon-to-be-launched Chevy Sail. The Beat comes across has a very modern and contemporary design whereas the Sail is very outdated.

India bound or not, we will surely get you all the details of the facelifted Beat from the Paris Motor Show.
