New photographs showing the Ford Fiesta facelift have been posted on Chinese auto website auto.163.com. Even though the test mule is bandaged as if it is bruised, one can make out what's changing and what is staying.

The new Fiesta will be revealed by the end of this year in the Chinese market. The European premiere is almost certainly at the Paris Motor Show in late September.

The Changan-Ford assembly line is expected to begin humming out the new Fiestas soon after their public reveal is conducted at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November.

The new 1.5L petrol engine introduced in India last year, will be transferred to the Chinese model's engine bay while the 1.0L turbocharged petrol, arriving to India on the EcoSport, is expected to find a place under the facelift's bonnet.

We have already laid down the design changes on the car's bodywork in previous posts. The car's lights, bumpers and wheels are new. 2013 Ford Fiesta facelift renderingWhat's interesting in this batch of images is the interior. One can see uniquely colored door inserts. The car is driven using a dual-clutch transmission.

Ford India does not see the need to dial in the Fiesta facelift, as the car's been a sales disappointment, considering how the C-Segment proved to be a Cape Canaveral of sorts for the Nissan brand (and its best-selling Sunny), Skoda's Rapid (another best-seller) and played host to the Verna's sales revival, all in the last one year.

The Fiesta is no doubt the driver's car in that segment, and perhaps a facelift next year could bring it back under the spotlight?
