Skoda Yeti ETAPE Concept reminds us of Tyrion Lannister
Kaustubh Shinde, They say sooner or later your passion finds you. Sometime in late 2009, I started writing for IAB and ever since then it has been a roller coaster ride for me. An amazing experience that has taught me a lot, taken me to new places, driven some great cars and met some amazing people. When you don't find me on IAB (very rarely), you will find me either at a coffee shop or an eatery or at the nearest gadget store. Hope you enjoy IAB as much as we do!
By now our readers must be aware that we think of the Skoda Yeti as the best car money can buy.
Another thing that team IAB is going gaga over is the recent hit series – Game of Thrones – on HBO. Of course, our favorite character is the small yet powerful Tyrion Lannister.
Small and Powerful – That conveniently brings us to the Etape Concept from the Czech design house Benet Automotive. Essentially, it is a Skoda Yeti which is converted into a pickup truck. Don’t think this has been designed to take the pigs to the farm. It is an uber-exclusive concept for affluent people who want more from their Yeti.
The ETAPE Concept features an aerodynamic body kit, gloss black accents and a rear diffuser. There is also a dual exhaust system and a small rear bed that can carry two bicycles. Benet Automotive’s managing director and Etape project leader Josef Zajicek says the concept’s cycling theme is a nod to Skoda’s long-term commitment to the sport.
Very few changes have been done to the interiors. They include new Sparco racing seats and a white dashboard with red trim.
This is only a concept for demonstration purpose so don’t expect it to provide the Yeti company at your nearest Skoda dealer. But if Tyrion Lannister was a car, he’d be the ETAPE Concept.
