These are the first official images showing the Skoda Rapid in its full glory. The European Skoda Rapid was sort of leaked yesterday in the form of the Seat Toledo as both cars are similar except for cosmetic features.
The Euro Rapid is 4.48m long and 1.7m wide (compared to the Indian Rapid's 4.38m x 1.69m dimension). It is a five door model, meaning the rear is a hatch, different from the Indian version which is a conventional sedan.
The Indian Rapid is a rebadged and mildly redesigned Volkswagen Vento. The European Rapid sports a completely redesigned rear, new dashboard and according to this report, plenty of choices under the hood.
The Rapid will be exhibited at the 2012 Paris Motor Show (that runs from 29 September to 14 October) and will begin arriving at European dealerships in the last quarter of 2012. Rumored to be on offer is plenty of room for five passengers and a generous luggage compartment. Skoda could provide as many as five petrol engines and two diesel engines.
