The Skoda Fabia BT Race is fuming Fabia wearing a red hat
Kaustubh Shinde, They say sooner or later your passion finds you. Sometime in late 2009, I started writing for IAB and ever since then it has been a roller coaster ride for me. An amazing experience that has taught me a lot, taken me to new places, driven some great cars and met some amazing people. When you don't find me on IAB (very rarely), you will find me either at a coffee shop or an eatery or at the nearest gadget store. Hope you enjoy IAB as much as we do!
From the makers of the ETAPE Concept, comes another jewel in the form of the Skoda Fabia BT. It is essentially a hard-tuned Skoda Fabia that is filled with anger.
Powered by a 1.4L TSI engine generating a more-than-healthy 212 PS at 5,000 rpm and 302 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm, it can accelerate from 0-100 km/r in 7.1 seconds and on to a maximum speed of 228 km/hr.
In order to sustain the monstrosity of power that can make the handling worse than a shopping trolley, the chassis has been lowered by 15 mm, sports dampers and springs have been brought in and the conventional brakes have been replaced by sports brakes with 4 pistons. A Sport exhaust replaces the normal ones to compose the right background music for the changed outfit.
Of course, there is no point if it does not look the looks. Visual changes include:
- A front lip spoiler
- Blackened Skoda grill
- Red coloured, multispoke, 18-inch alloy wheels
- Body decals on the side
- Roof painted in red
- Rear diffuser
- Rear spoiler
There are hardly any changes to the interiors. The few we can spot are:
- A color coordinated red and black interior
- Recaro seats
- Scruff plates on the doors
What do you think of this hot Fabia?
