Our appetite for the Mahindra XUV500 has no boundaries. Mahindra recently opened the third round of booking on 8 June, 2012. These bookings were accepted from 100 dealerships across 19 cities in India and what do you know!

Tata Safari DICOR and Tata Safari Storme

Mahindra has gathered 7,200+ bookings in a matter of hours. The company says that it is better prepared this time compared to the earlier rounds by stocking up inventory and raising the production capacity to 4,000 vehicles per month. The target is to reach 5,000 units by September-October period as the XUV500 has to fly overseas.

We would like to remind our audience that when the XUV500 was launched last September, the company had to temporarily suspended bookings as four months worth of production (8,000+ units) was sold out within a week.

The appetite for SUVs in India has suddenly catapulted. Each time Mahindra has announced a round of bookings, the company has clocked 8,000 or more customers without any effort. Unfortunately, the production of the XUV500 has been limited to 3,000 units per month at the Chakan plant. This pops the question - Where were these customers before the XUV500's launch?

Bring the Tata Safari Storme NOW!

Tata Motors has a very lucrative opportunity to launch the much awaited Tata Safari Storme in a market that is begging for new and modern SUVs. Yes, the Storme tucks in under the XUV500, but even if there is a fraction of the XUV500 customer interested in the new Safari, the vehicle gets solid traction at launch which the Aria didn't manage.

The Tata Safari Storme was showcased at the 2012 Auto Expo. We were told by sources that the Safari Storme will be launched in July and runs alongside the current model.
