Owing to the increasing demand of the BMW 3 Series, BMW Malaysia has introduced locally assembled versions for the domestic market.

BMW 3 Series BMW F30

The locally assembled version of the 3 Series will be available in 320d and 328i specifications.

The 328i will be available in Sport Line and the Luxury Line variants and the 320d will be available in Sport Line and Modern Line trims. Nothing changes mechanically; the 328i is powered by a 2.0 litre TwinPower Turbo engine that offers 245 hp at 5,000-6,500 rpm and 350 Nm between 1,250-4,800 rpm. The 320d is powered by a 2.0 litre diesel mill rated at 184 hp at 4,000 rpm and 380 Nm at 1,750-2,750 rpm.

Thanks to the local assembly, prices have been brought down drastically. The 328i is priced at RM 289,800 (around 50 lakhs) which means an awesome discount of RM 20,000 (around 3 lakhs) on the CBU unit. The 320d is even better because the price slash has been more than RM 50,000 (around 8 lakhs)
