VW Caddy gets 4 Stars safety ratings from ANCAP

More news about the VW Caddy has just come from Australia. If you remember, in a previous post, we gave a preview of what we can expect in India from VW. This piece of information is an addition to that post. Australia’s leading vehicle safety organisation, the Australian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP), has awarded the Volkswagen Caddy a four star rating- from a maximum possible five.

Safety features like driver’s side airbag and anti-lock brakes (ABS) and options including a front passenger airbag and side airbags, along with Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP) gave Caddy its 4 star rating. We are not sure if these features will make it to India (as a cost cutting strategy), but we are quite sure that the caddy will still remain safe in the absence of the same. Anyway, it will be the safest taxi on Indian roads after its launch!
