The R version of the Polo in 2012 will make 190hp from a 1.4 liter engine

VW will launch a “R” version of the Polo hatchback with a bi-turbo 1.4-liter engine that churns out nothing less than 190hp, reports AutoBild.

VW will launch the Polo in India during the Auto Expo in January next year. There are chances of the R version to be produced here in India as VW might look at a sub-10 lakh performance hatchback. Who knows how the market demands would be two or three years from now?
